Fine embroidery: 100% water-repellent polyester shell; this fabric is suitable for machine embroidery provided that a stabilizer appropriate for lightweight technical fabrics is used. Choose designs of medium density to avoid excessive puncturing of the water-repellent fabric.
Sewn patches: the most reliable solution for this type of fabric, especially on the chest and back. Always use sewn attachment; heat-seal attachment alone will not hold up over time on a water-repellent fabric.
Heat-transfer prints: compatible with specific polyester films and water-repellent fabrics. Short pressing times and moderate temperatures are required; pressing for too long will compromise the fabric’s water-repellent properties.
General note: Plastisol and water-based screen printing are not suitable; the ink does not adhere properly to the water-repellent treatment. Conventional DTG and DTF on cotton are not applicable. Conduct tests before any mass production run.
