For blends containing polyester, the use of a migration blocker is still recommended when using light-colored plastisol inks on dark backgrounds—a precaution that applies to all polyester or poly-cotton blanks on the market.

For dark colors, applying a pretreatment is still recommended, as with any cotton blank on the market. Results may vary depending on the equipment used and the machine settings specific to each workshop.
DTF works on United Athle cotton and cotton-polyester blends, including dark colors, without any special pretreatment—in accordance with the standard procedure for this technique. Wash fastness depends on the quality of the film and adhesive used, as well as the heat press settings applied.
Machine embroidery can be applied to the entire United Athle line. Using a stabilizer suited to the fabric weight of the garment remains the basic rule for any blank, regardless of the brand. Sweatshirts and hoodies, due to their high fabric weight, hold up well under the embroidery frame.
